Police investigate Hampton Park sexual assault

Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Team detectives are investigating a sexual assault which occurred in Hampton Park in December, 2021.

Investigators have been told a 10-year-old boy was in the bathroom of a shopping centre on Somerville Road when he was approached by an unknown man about 3.30pm on 26 December.

The man sexually assaulted the boy before leaving the area.

Detectives have released an image and footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and aged between 50 and 60-years-old.

He was wearing a black beanie, black jacket, light brown pants, black sandals and pair of glasses.
