An investigation is underway following a serious two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south west.
About 8.45am on Tuesday (1 September 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Mars and Lang Street, Padstow, following reports of a crash.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and found a Toyota Camry and a Kia Picanto had collided.
The driver of the Kia – a 34-year-old pregnant woman – was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further assessment.
A passenger of the Kia – a 61-year-old woman – was assessed at the scene and taken to hospital for further treatment.
The Toyota driver – a 54-year-old man – was uninjured.
On Friday (4 September 2026), officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified of the crash and commenced investigations.
Police have since been informed that the pregnant woman had subsequently lost her unborn child.
As inquiries continue police are urging anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Mars and Lang Street, Padstow and witnessed or has dashcam footage to contact police.
