Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery - Greater Darwin Region

Northern Territory Police officers successfully arrested multiple offenders on Saturday afternoon for their involvement in two separate robberies at licensed premises in Darwin.

A 33-year-old man was arrested by general duties members after stealing a quantity of alcohol from a business on Harriet Place, where he was later charged with robbery and remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Two women, aged 21 and 36, were then arrested by Strike Force Trident detectives following a robbery at a bottle shop in Pinelands, where police will allege one of the women threatened staff with a spear.

The 21-year-old, was charged with aggravated robbery, stealing and breach of bail and was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

The 36-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery and stealing and was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.
