Police lay charges over property offences at Yarrawonga 8 June

Northern Territory Police have charged two youths with property offences committed on the weekend.

Late on Sunday night, a car yard in Yarrawonga was entered and several vehicles damaged and then a Ford Ranger was stolen from an adjoining business.

The stolen vehicle was sighted on Monday morning on the Stuart Highway near Lake Bennet. Strike Force Trident Detectives attended and arrested two 17-year-old males who were with the vehicle and conveyed them to Palmerston Watch House.

One was later charged with:

  • 7 x Trespass enclosed premises
  • 2 x Damage property
  • 1 x Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

The second youth was charged with:

  • 1 x Trespass enclosed premises
  • 1 x Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

They were remanded to appear today.
