Police officer charged in Eastern Creek

A police officer has been charged after allegedly failing to provide a breath analysis yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10.20pm yesterday, the off-duty sergeant, who is substantively attached to North West Metropolitan Region, was located along the M4 Motorway, Eastern Creek, next to a vehicle.

She was assisted by Ambulance Paramedics at the scene and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where it's alleged she refused to provide a breath analysis and was arrested.

The 41-year-old woman was taken to Blacktown Police Station, where she was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for refuse/fail to submit to breath analysis (first offence), and her licence was suspended.

The woman will appear at Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday 26 April 2016.

Her duty status is currently being reviewed.
