Police probe suspicious fire in Penrith

An investigation is underway following a suspicious fire at Penrith overnight, NSW Police say.

About 11.30pm (Sunday 19 August 2018), emergency services attended Coreen Avenue following reports of a business well alight.

NSW Fire & Rescue were able to control the blaze and stop it spreading to neighbouring businesses.

The fire was eventually extinguished and no one was injured.

A crime scene was established and the cause of the fire will be investigated.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and inquiries are continuing.
