Police responding to traffic crash at Brendale

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with a power pole in Brendale this morning.

Around 8.10am, emergency services were called to the intersection of Southpine Road and Bradford Court where a grey 2007 Hyundai Sonata sedan travelling east had collided with a power pole and caught fire.

The driver, a 52-year-old man from Albany Creek, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition.

Investigators are urging anyone in the area who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage to contact police.
