Police seek information after vehicle arson - Bellevue Hill

Detectives are appealing for public assistance after two cars were set alight in Sydney's eastern beaches last year.

About 11.10pm on Saturday 14 November 2020, emergency serves were called to a house on Suttie Road, Bellevue Hill, following reports two cars were on fire.

Upon arrival, emergency services found a Volkswagen Golf and a Porsche SUV alight.

Police have been told the Volkswagen caught alight in the driveway of the home before the fire spread to the SUV in a neighbouring property.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, which caused significant damage to the vehicles.

No one was injured.

Detectives from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the incident, which is being treated as suspicious.

As inquiries continue, investigators have released images of a man who they would like to speak to.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 70-years-old.

The man is depicted wearing a green camouflage bucket hat, a black jacket, a blue t-shirt, khaki green pants, khaki-coloured shoes, and black sunglasses.
