Police seek information: Wounding, Nerang

Queensland Police are investigating an alleged wounding at Nerang this morning, January 11.

Initial investigations indicate around 2:30am, emergency services were called to a park on Nerang Connection Rd following reports of a serious assault.

Upon arrival, a 51-year-old Oxenford man was located with a small stab wound to his chest.

He was transported in a non-life-threatening condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A 40-year-old man is currently assisting police with enquires.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing, and officers are appealing to anyone who may have information that may assist, for come forward.
