Police update 1: Missing woman at Rockhampton

The woman reported missing from Rockhampton yesterday (September 23) was sighted in the suburb of Campaspe, approximately 130km south of Charters Towers.

Members of the public contacted Charters Towers Police after speaking to 49-year-old Lisa Ruge (pictured) at around 12.30pm today (September 24).

It's believed she left her vehicle, a 2009 grey Honda Accord with QLD registration 889EE7 (pictured), on the side of the Flinders Highway, near the Gregory Highway (Gregory Developmental Road).

Anyone travelling in the area along these roads who may have seen Ms Ruge is urged to contact police.

She is described as Caucasian, about 172cm tall with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

Ms Ruge or anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
