Police Update 1: Police Officer Charged, Crime Command

A 36-year-old male Detective Senior Constable from the Crime Command has been charged with further offences after protracted investigations following earlier alleged stalking behaviour.

The officer was initially charged with one count of Stalking (Domestic Violence Offence) in March 2026, allegedly committed while off duty.

Following this initial charge, the officer was further investigated by Ethical Standards Command and has today been arrested on additional offences.

He has been charged with a further three counts of misconduct in public office, two counts of common assault, two counts of computer hacking and misuse, two counts of distribute prohibited recording, two counts of unlawful stalking, one count of dangerous conduct with a weapon, one count of enter dwelling and commit (domestic violence offence), one count of deprivation of liberty, one count of distributing intimate images, one count of sexual assault.

It will be alleged that these offences occurred over several years both on and off duty.

The member has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, 23 June 2026.

This matter continues to be investigated by Ethical Standards Command and is under the oversight of the Crime and Corruption Commission.
