Police update: Missing man at Gympie

Motorists travelling on Corella Road, Waddell Road and Oak Street, Gympie between 2pm and 3.30pm on Friday June 4, are urged to check their dashcam vision for missing Gympie man Andrew Davis.

Inquiries have now revealed Andrew, 37, was last seen around 2.20pm on Friday, June 4 on Waddell Road, leaving a residence near the Bruce Highway intersection.

Andrew is described as Caucasian, around 172cm in height, of a thin build, has brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a dark coloured top, white three quarter length shorts, a grey cap and may be carrying a maroon backpack.

Yesterday, police and SES conducted extensive searches of the Victoria Trails area and surrounding bushland he is known to visit, without result.

Andrew has previously used trains and taxis to travel in and around the area and police are focusing investigations on these networks.

Police and family hold concern for his welfare, as he has a medical condition requiring medication and his disappearance is out of character.

Anyone who has seen Andrew or has further information is urged to contact police.
