Police update: Wounding incident, Goodna

Police have charged a 25-year-old Goodna man following investigations into an alleged shooting yesterday, May 25.

Police will allege, at 8.15pm police were called to a Caldwell Street address following reports of a dispute between the 25-year-old and a 19-year-old Goodna man.

On arrival, officers allegedly located the 19-year-old man who was treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his upper arm, consistent with being grazed by a firearm pellet.

Police further allege the 25-year-old man left the scene and was located on Napier Street, Silkstone at 10pm and taken into custody.

A crime scene was declared at the Goodna and Silkstone addresses.

The 25-year old has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and was held in custody to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court later today.
