Protecting Our Winters

The Climate Group

Perhaps no industry or group of people have more immediately at stake in addressing a changing climate than those in winter sports. Protect Our Winters (POW) is a non-profit founded in 2007 by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones to help passionate outdoor people protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change. Join 2021 World Cup Champion and Olympic gold medalist Jessie Diggins, the President and CEO of Aspen Ski Company Mike Kaplan and POW's Executive Director Mario Molina this Earth Day. They'll share an insider look at the perils facing both the lifestyles and livelihoods for those in winter sports, and more importantly how the snow industry, athletes and POW are helping the 50 million people who participate in those sports to become a powerful force for systemic climate action.

This conversation is brought to you by World War Zero and POW. World War Zero is a climate non-profit uniting unlikely allies to expand the public conversation about the importance of arriving at net-zero emissions.
