A member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) will face court today charged over outstanding warrants for domestic violence-related offences.

Earlier this year, the NSW Police Force established Operation Amarok to analyse intelligence and assess the potential risk to victims and the community in relation to dangerous perpetrators of domestic and family violence.

In March 2023, officers from the South-West Metropolitan Region Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team commenced investigations to locate a 33-year-old man wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for assault and breach of bail offences.

Police conducted extensive inquiries to locate him and were notified that the man was in Western Australia.

Following further inquiries, investigators attended a home in Canley Heights about 1.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 28 March 2023), after information was received from Western Australia Police that he returned to NSW.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at the property, and police located and seized Rebels OMCG paraphernalia.

The man was taken to Fairfield Police Station, where he was charged with the outstanding warrants.

He was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today (Wednesday 29 March 2023).

Investigations are continuing.
