Samantha Power Attends UNESCO's World Press Freedom Day in New York 2 May

On May 2, Administrator Samantha Power will travel to New York to attend the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) World Press Freedom Day 30th Anniversary event at the UN General Assembly Hall.

During the event, Administrator Power will deliver a keynote address that will focus on ways to protect journalists from the increased safety, financial, and legal threats they face today and how USAID is working to support and protect free press around the world.
