Secretary General welcomes US Secretary of State to meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to NATO Headquarters on Tuesday (23 March 2021), ahead of today's meetings of Allied Foreign Ministers.

The Secretary General praised Secretary Blinken's strong personal commitment to NATO, saying we now have "a unique opportunity to start a new chapter in the transatlantic relationship".

Mr. Stoltenberg further said that this week's ministerial provides an opportunity to make progress on the NATO 2030 initiative, preparing an ambitious transatlantic agenda for the upcoming Summit.
