Police have arrested a woman in Mildura as part of a multi-agency ongoing investigation into the importation of drugs bound for Mildura.
With the support of Australian Border Force, Mildura Divisional Response Unit detectives arrested a 33-year-old Mildura woman at a Mildura address this morning.
She was interviewed and has since been charged with the Commonwealth offence of importing a marketable quantity of a border-controlled substance.
Police will allege the woman attempted to import approximately 500ml of 1.4 Butanediol, which was intercepted at Melbourne Airport on 20 June.
The woman was remanded to appear before Mildura Magistrates' Court on 16 December.
