Seven NVS Researchers Secure CIMED Funding 2027-2029

In this year's call for CIMED project grants, seven grants were awarded to NVS: five to junior researchers and two to senior researchers.

Junior

  • Anna Marseglia , assistant lecturer at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, has received a project grant for "Uncovering Biological Processes and Resilience Mechanisms in Vascular Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (VCID)".
  • Gabriella Frisk , postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, has received a project grant for "Clinical studies of [Point of care ultrasound] and treatment of malignant ascites in palliative care".
  • Jacob Andersson Emad at the Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care has received a project grant for "Improving triage of patients with joint and muscle pain in primary care with a new digital decision support tool".
  • Rosaleena Mohanty , Assistant Lecturer at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, has received a project grant for "Mapping the contribution of vascular brain health to neurodegenerative diseases".
  • Sandra af Winklerfelt-Hammarberg at the Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care has received a project grant for "Metacognitive therapy for depression and generalised anxiety disorder in primary care, comparing two variants of guided treatment".

Senior

  • Daniel Ferreira , senior lecturer and docent at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, has received a project grant for "FindDLB' - Assessing Lewy body pathology and early neurodegeneration in vivo and translating findings into clinical practice in Dementia with Lewy Bodies".
  • Eric Westman , professor at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, has received a project grant for "Precision medicine in Alzheimer's disease to improve diagnostic accuracy and enable optimal selection of patients for treatment and prevention".
