BMI fairs are currently the most important in-person student recruitment fairs in LATAM markets, offering an opportunity for Australian education institutions to showcase their study opportunities to tens of thousands of LATAM students.
This year, Austrade is supporting Study Australia pavilions in various cities across Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico during September and October 2022. Australia will be the 'country of honour' and feature prominently in all promotion, including digital channels and there will be an Australia seminar at each event. Australian institutions will receive a discount of at least 20% to join and will participate with their own individually branded booth. They will be physically located together with the Austrade booth to create the Australian Pavilion area.
Who should attend?
Brazil - The fair is recommended for ELICOS and VET providers, and/or HE providers that have more moderate academic entry requirements.
Chile, Colombia and Mexico - HE providers are recommended given the target audience will be prospective high school students searching for undergraduate programs and mature age students searching for postgraduate programs.
Participating in physical events in LATAM is complementary to the virtual recruitment efforts in the region, including the Study Australia Experience (SAE) digital platform, and is encouraged be taken into consideration for engaging LATAM markets.
