Sydney Family Show

The Sydney Family Show returns for 2023, with plenty of things to see, eat and do for the whole family.

For over two fun-filled weeks, from the 6th to the 23rd of April 2023, the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park will burst with entertainment, amusement rides, showbags, games, food vans, interactive activities, experiences, and competitions, including the Rabbit Hopping competitions and Dogs in the Park feature.

The event brings together a wide range of attractions, exhibitors and activities, for a jam-packed fun day out that's great for all the family, including free activities and live entertainment.

"The Sydney Family Show brings so much joy and wonder to local families. Entry to the show is only $65 for a family of four and includes a collection of activities and interactive experiences covered by the entry fee, making it the best value show in Sydney!" said Britt Osborne, Event Director of the Sydney Family Show.

"As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of creating special moments, and we are so proud to be able to give Sydney families an affordable Show experience, and the opportunity to create these special memories with lots to see and do."

Entry to the show includes access to a wide range of attractions and activities, including the daily Animal Nursery, the Rabbit Hopping competition on Good Friday, daily stage show performances, as well as the action-packed, gravity-defying motorcycle and bike show, plus two hours of free parking in the Entertainment Quarter.

Also free with the show entry ticket, is the well-respected Shimano Fishing Show. With three shows daily (11am, 1pm and 3pm), and over $400 in prize giveaways at each presentation, you won't want to miss your chance to drop a line and learn how to reel in that big catch.

If reptiles like lizards, turtles, snakes and crocodiles are more your thing, then The Sydney Family Show has you covered. Learn all about these scaley animals and get your photo taken with them, too, at one of the four daily shows held at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

With so much to see and do, the all-new Pavilion provides the perfect place to get out of the sun and away from the hustle and bustle.

This year's show also provides double the doggie love, as the Dogs in the Park event headlines festivities for two Sundays, on the 16th and 23rd of April. From doggie talent shows to market stalls and pooch pampering, there is so much pawsome fun to be had!

From a competition standpoint, the best pooches from a wide range of breeds will come together to determine the winners of various titles, including the Waggiest Dog Tail, the Scruffiest Dog, the Best Dressed Dog, as well as the ever-popular Dog Owner Look-a-Like contest, and many more.

Dogs in the Park will once again feature the Greyhounds as Pets NSW (GAPNSW) National Adoption Day on Sunday, 23rd April, where a number of retired racing greyhounds will be looking for their new forever home.

Prepare for some 'EGGciting' fun in the Easter Basket Zone. Grab your Easter basket and stroll through the zone, collecting fun festive toys along the way.

For the thrill-seekers of the family, three-hour unlimited ride passes are available this year (based on session times) and provide fantastic value for money for ride lovers. At $50 per person, you can enjoy all the childhood favourites from the dodgem cars, carousel and jumping castles to the Giant Slide and heart-stopping adrenaline-fuelled Super Sizzler, plus many more!

Don't forget to try your luck at the traditional carnival games and treat yourself (and the kids) to a show bag or two. While Sydney's largest inflatable obstacle course – the Monster Jump, returns boasting a monstrous 280 meters of bouncy fun, setting the scene for a thrilling family day out.

"As always, the enjoyment of all show-goers is our focus, and this year is no different…. we look forward to seeing everyone for some serious school holiday fun!" Britt Osborne said.

The Sydney Family Show is open from 10am to 5pm daily, closing at 3pm on Thursday 6th of April.

Entry prices to the Sydney Family Show are $25 for an adult (16+ years), $13 for a child (3-15 years), and $65 for a family of four. Rides, showbags, carnival games and some attractions are at an additional cost.
