Tableland Road/Cross Road part of Mount Maria bushfire - bushfire

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews remain on scene at a bushfire burning near Mount Maria. Firefighters continue to monitor and patrol the area near Tableland Road and Cross Road. There are separate bushfire warnings in place for Lowmead residents and residents along Cross Road/Whytallabah Road/Hills Road in Mount Maria. Tableland Road has reopened and residents who have left the area are advised it is now safe to return, however they are asked remain vigilant as the situation could change. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions and be mindful of crews working in the area. Smoke continues to affect the area, so residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required. If you feel your property is under threat, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
