Taxi driver reported for drink driving - Findon, South Australia

A taxi driver has allegedly registered a blood alcohol reading of more than three times over the legal limit while conveying passengers, after he was stopped at Findon overnight.

Just after 12.30am on Sunday 8 March, a police patrol noticed a Toyota sedan Taxi driving erratically on Grange Road.

The patrol stopped the taxi driver who was carrying two passengers he had collected from the city in the cab at the time.

The 26-year-old driver was breath tested allegedly returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.183 or more than three times over the legal limit of 0.05.

The Findon man was reported for drink driving, his driver's licence was disqualified for 12 months.

The taxi was not impounded, but the taxi company was notified to be collected.
