Teens' immunisation catch-up

Has your teenager missed an important jab?

All Year 7 and 10 school immunisation visits in the Bayside area have now concluded for 2021.

However, missed doses of HPV, Boostrix, and Meningococcal can be caught up at one of our two additional catch-up sessions, or our regular community immunisation sessions.

The two additional sessions will be held at Council offices at 76 Royal Ave Sandringham for adolescents who missed the vaccinations at school.

They are:

  • Monday - 29 November, 5.30pm -7pm
  • Saturday - 11 December, 9.00am - 11am

Students in Year 7 (or age equivalent) receive Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine (Boostrix) and Human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV).

Students in Year 10 get vaccinated against Meningococcal. This vaccine provides protection against four strains of meningococcal disease (ACWY) and is given as a single dose.
