Ballina Shire Council crews will be completing landscaping works on the median strip along River Street, West Ballina next week that will require the closure of one lane of traffic. >Crews will be replenishing mulch that was washed away during the floods earlier this year and conducting planting to finalise landscaping works as part of the River Street Duplication project.
Works will be carried out from Monday 29 August to Wednesday 31 August 2022 from 9.30am to 3pm each day.
One lane of River Street will be closed in both directions while these works are carried out, with traffic control in place.
To minimise the impact on traffic flows, the works will be carried out in the following sections:
- River St (Barlows Road to Ronan Place)
- River St (Ronan Place to Sunset Avenue)
- River St (Sunset Avenue to Quays Drive)
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and use an alternative route where possible.
