Two car and police motorcycle crash, South Australia

Police are investigating a crash between two cars and a police motorcycle south of Tailem Bend today.

Just before 12.45pm Monday 16 December two police motorcycle officers had stopped on the side of the Princes Highway at Ashville to assist a car towing a caravan that had lost a wheel.

The police motorcycles had their emergency lights activated when two car passing the scene collided head on. One of the cars involved in the head-on collision spun off colliding with one of the police motorcycles.

Thankfully the two drivers were not seriously injured and there were no injuries to the police officers. The two cars and police motorcycle will be towed from there scene.

Traffic is still flowing through the scene, but speeds are restricted while emergency service clear the crash. Please take care if you are travelling through the area.
