Two injured in assault and glassing in Sydney CBD

Two men have been injured after an assault and glassing in Sydney's CBD overnight.

Just before 8.45pm (Friday 31 May 2019), emergency services were called to a licensed premises at the intersection of Pitt and Bathurst Streets, following reports of an assault.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and were told two men, aged 24 and 33, had been injured.

A third man is alleged to have bitten the 24-year-old man's ear before both men ran off.

The injured man returned shortly after and allegedly hit the 33-year-old man with a glass, causing a laceration to his head before the injured man again fled.

The older man was treated at the scene for a head laceration.

No arrests have been made and an investigation into the incident is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
