SYDNEY – [10/06/2025] – Nearly 400 researchers from a dozen countries are converging on UNSW Sydney from 17-20 June for a landmark joint meeting at the intersection of mind and brain sciences.
This gathering of minds will explore how people perceive, attend, think, learn, and act, aiming to advance scientific understanding while shedding light on urgent challenges across health, technology, policy, and society.
The conference will showcase cutting-edge research on topics ranging from AI and visual perception to decision-making about climate change, misinformation, and human development.
The event will feature significant keynote addresses from leading voices in their respective fields: Mac Shine from the University of Sydney will speak on how the human brain creates adaptive behaviours, Rachel Searston from the University of Adelaide will cover high-stakes decision-making, and Ben Newell from UNSW will address climate risk. Special sessions will explore real-world applications of psychological science, with workshops on educational psychology and behaviour in the workplace.
