US Imposes Sanctions on Iran's UAV, Missile Production Backers

The United States is imposing sanctions today on four entities operating as front companies andsubsidiaries for U.S.-designated Hamed Dehghan and Pishtazan Kavosh Gostar Boshra (PKGB).These entities have supplied materials and sensitive technology for Iran's ballistic missile andUAV programs, including Shahed-series UAVs being used by the Russian military againstUkraine.

Iranian-made UAVs are used to commit acts of terror, including dozens of attacks by Iran-aligned militia groups on U.S. personnel that have resulted in the deaths of U.S. soldiers. Iran-backed Houthis have also launched attacks on commercial vessels and U.S. naval assets usingIranian-made UAVs and missiles. The United States is committed to utilizing all available meansto expose and hold individuals and entities accountable for contributing to the Iranian regime'sproliferation, which directly harms U.S. personnel in the region and contributes to regionalinstability in the Middle East and Russia's war against Ukraine.
