Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Board of Director members of AGRA, formerly Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa. The meeting included AGRA Board Chair and former Prime Minister of Ethiopia HE Hailemariam Dessalegn, President of Global Growth & Opportunity Division at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Rodger Voorhies, President of AGRA Dr. Agnes Kalibata, and Vice President of AGRA Vanessa Adams.
Administrator Power and AGRA leadership discussed AGRA's role in the new U.S.-Africa strategic partnership launched at the Africa Leaders Summit in December 2022 and shared perspectives on addressing the global food security crisis. Administrator Power highlighted the new USAID Policy Framework to drive progress through and beyond Agency programs.
