Off-road vehicle (ORV) areas are set for a boost in Western Australia, with the Cook Labor Government announcing $2 million in grants are available for construction or upgrades.
The grants program was established to support community interest in safe, high quality ORV facilities for all terrain vehicles, trail bikes and quad bikes.
An earlier round of the grants program saw almost $2 million awarded to five local government projects.
Under the current round of the ORV Grants Program, grants of up to $1 million are available to construct new sites or to expand and upgrade existing areas.
The Cook Labor Government is seeking applications from organisations such as local governments, incorporated organisations or WA State Government agencies.
In the earlier round, five local governments received grants totalling more than $1.8 million in funding:

As stated by Local Government Minister Hannah Beazley:
"The Cook Labor Government is supporting the community interest in ORV areas through this grants program.
"A well-designed, safe and family-friendly ORV area is a major asset for local communities, providing a training ground for young riders and drivers, while also being a drawcard for tourists.
"I would encourage organisations interested in either establishing or upgrading an ORV area to submit an application before 26 June 2026."
