Wagga Comedy Fest 2026 is underway and is providing laughs for locals and visitors all weekend.
With many locals choosing to stay close to home this June long weekend, Wagga Comedy Fest offers the perfect excuse to gather friends, enjoy a night out and soak up the festival vibe right in the heart of the city.
The ever-popular Laugh Lounge returns to the festival precinct with local food vendors and cosy fire buckets creating a welcoming space to relax between shows and enjoy the weekend buzz.
The Laugh Lounge is free-to-enter and will remain open throughout the festival, providing a central gathering space for audiences to enjoy the festival atmosphere, discover pop-up performances and connect with fellow comedy lovers.

Strong ticket sales have already seen several headline acts sell out, but there are still plenty of opportunities to join the fun this long weekend.
Civic Theatre Manager Claire Harris said the festival is designed to be experienced as a weekend destination rather than a single event.
"Wagga Comedy Fest is about more than just seeing a show," Ms Harris said.
"It's about catching up with friends, grabbing something to eat, settling in around the fire buckets and enjoying the atmosphere that comes with having hundreds of people out celebrating together.
"If you're not heading away this long weekend, this is the perfect opportunity to get out, have a laugh and experience something special right here in Wagga Wagga."
Audiences can still catch tickets to performances from Mel Buttle and Denise Scott, alongside a packed program of late-night comedy, improvised performances and festival favourites.
Families are catered for with the award-winning Trash Test Dummies bringing their unique blend of physical comedy, circus skills and audience interaction to Sunday's program.
The festival continues to showcase a strong mix of national and local talent, including Jamie Way, Leigh Ryan, Peter Casey, Dane Simpson and the Freeroam Theatre Impro Hub team, ensuring plenty of familiar faces alongside some of Australia's biggest comedy names.
A highlight of the weekend remains The Great Wagga Comedy Fest Debate, where comedians tackle the topic The robots are taking over – and we deserve it, in a gloriously unpredictable battle of wit and opinion.
"There is a real sense of excitement around town this week," Ms Harris said.
"The festival has become a well-loved feature of the June long weekend in Wagga Wagga. Whether you're coming for one show or spending the whole weekend with us, there's something special about seeing the city come alive with laughter."
