War Secretary Announces General Officer Promotions 6 May

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force Lt. Gen. Daniel H. Tulley for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Tulley is currently serving as commander and president, Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Paul D. Moga for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as superintendent, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Moga is currently serving as commander, Third Air Force, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Air Force Maj. Gen. David G. Shoemaker for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Forces Korea; commander, Combined Air Component Command, United Nations Command; commander, Combined Air Component Command, Combined Forces Command; and commander, Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, South Korea. Shoemaker is currently serving as deputy commander, Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central) and deputy commander, Combined Forces Air Component Command, U.S. Central Command, Air Combat Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Robert K. Bogart for appointment to the grade of major general. Bogart is currently serving as the director, Defense Health Network Central and commander, Air Force Medical Readiness Command-Alpha, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Leigh A. Swanson for appointment to the grade of major general. Swanson is currently serving as the surgeon general, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
