Western Australia is expected to safely welcome more international arrivals from November 20, 2021, when it is expected 70 per cent of the population will be double dose vaccinated.
The international arrives cap will then double - to 530 per week.
All international arrivals directly into WA must quarantine in a State-run hotel facility for 14 days at their own expense.
International travellers are subject to mandatory COVID-19 tests on the day following their arrival in WA, on day 5 and 13 of quarantine.
Once travellers have left quarantine, they are subject to COVID-19 testing on day 17 and 21 after their arrival in WA.
WA's Safe Transition Plan sets a path for border controls to ease in line with an expected 90 per cent double dose vaccination rate (12 years and over), expected in late January/early February.
This will allow for international and interstate travel from all jurisdictions, with testing and vaccination requirements.

As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:
"WA's safe and sensible controlled border arrangements have helped keep WA safe.
"With our ever growing vaccination rate, we are able to safely increase our international arrivals cap from November 20 - when WA is expected to reach a 70 per cent double dose rate.
"This will take the international passenger arrivals cap from 265 to 530 travellers per week.
"Any international traveller who arrives into NSW, Victoria and ACT needs to complete 14 days in Australia before they can apply for a G2G Pass to enter WA under our controlled border."

"As our vaccination rate continues to rise, we will be able to make further adjustments to our border controls - as outlined in WA's Safe Transition Plan.

"I encourage anyone who has yet to be vaccinated to not delay - it's free, effective and will help keep you, your family and your community safe."
