Wings of Wonder - celebrating native Australian birds

The City of Stonnington's Activation Grants program is bringing the talents of Indigenous artist Josh Deane to life by supporting his captivating 'Wings of Wonder' art experience at locations across the city this February.

From Tuesday 6 February Josh's 'Wings of Wonder' will take flight on huge wooden cubes crafted by Indigenous builders, Dundee Rock.

Experience Josh's live painting sessions and the creation of magnificent native bird artworks at locations throughout February:

  • 6 February | Prahran Square | 9am - 3pm
  • 13 February | Rockley Gardens | 9am - 3pm

Join us to celebrate Australia's incredible biodiversity and wonder at our native species! On display until 1 May 2024.

'Wings of Wonder' - proudly supported by the City of Stonnington Activation Grants program – aims to inspire respect and love for our natural environment and serves as a call to action to protect and preserve ecosystems that are home to our native species.

The Stonnington Activation Grant program supports local artists and businesses to create innovative, creative and interactive experiences in outdoor public spaces.
