Twelve UAB research projects have been selected by AGAUR in a second call for the development of projects with social impacts. The projects must take on challenges related to mental health and emotional wellbeing at universities and other entities of the research and innovation system.
The selected projects cover disciplines such as clinical and health psychology, veterinary medicine, physics, nursing, social psychology, and anthropology, and will address different subjects of study. The aim is to obtain data and provide solutions for the emotional wellbeing of all members of the university community, which in turn can be extrapolated and sustained over time. The total amount obtained to conduct these studies is €220,000.
All selected studies will be carried out in coordination between the research groups involved, with the collaboration of the UAB's CORE in Mental Health network and the Equality and Diversity Service. The main project will be carried out by the Equality and Diversity Service, under the title "Recursos per a la promoció del benestar emocional i l'autocura per a la comunitat de la UAB: sensibilització, punts blaus i grups d'ajuda mútua" [Resources for promoting emotional wellbeing and self-care for the UAB community: awareness-raising, blue points, and mutual support groups]. The project includes a coordination hub for all mental health-related activities on campus.
