Appeal for info after carjacking in Campsie

Police are appealing for information after a carjacking in Campsie yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 2.15pm today, a man and a woman were parked in a silver Holden Commodore sedan, registration number AP43DU (NSW) on Ninth Avenue.

A man approached the driver’s window, made threats to the 70-year-old man and the 59-year-old woman and demanded they both get out of the car.

They both complied and the man got into the Holden and drove off. It was last seen travelling down Beamish Street.

Police from Campsie Local Area Command were notified of the incident and have commenced investigations.

They would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being 175 to 185cm tall with a skinny to medium build and was last seen wearing a hooded jumper with vertical stripes on the sleeves, dark coloured pants and a mask.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact Campsie Police or Crime Stoppers.
