Armed robbery, Brisbane City

Police have responded to an armed hold up of a convenience store on Ann Street tonight, Queensland Police say.

At around 1 am three people wearing dark clothing, entered the store armed with a knife, hammer and scissors and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The trio have fled with a quantity of cash and cigarettes towards Roma Street.

Two men and a woman were apprehended a short time later and are assisting police with their inquiries.  Cash and cigarettes were recovered from them

Police investigations are continuing.
