Wellbeing services on offer at ARU campuses as students receive their grades
Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) is to provide an oasis of calm on A-Level results day, traditionally a stressful time as students receive their grades and make decisions on what to do next.
ARU's Clearing centres will open at 8am on Thursday, 17 August in Cambridge and Chelmsford for online, telephone and in person inquiries for courses at all campuses including the new university ARU Peterborough. Approximately 120 staff will be staffing phones and offering advice to anyone calling in.
ARU will also be providing support to any students who wish to visit its campuses on results day. Counselling and wellbeing staff will be on hand to offer advice, therapy dogs will be on campus, and activities such as table tennis, wellbeing podcasts and board games will be available.
On Saturday, 19 August, ARU's campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford, as well as ARU Peterborough, will be open from 10am until 1pm. There will be opportunities for prospective applicants to speak to lecturers and current students, take a campus tour, and speak to advisors about accommodation, finance and the admissions process. ARU Peterborough will also be hosting a community day, showcasing the award-winning campus.
ARU is offering around 150 courses in Clearing this year, from Psychology to Engineering and from Adult Nursing to Business Management, Law, and Accounting and Finance. ARU Peterborough is also providing courses in Clearing, and these can also be found on the ARU website through the Clearing portal.
Prospective students can also discover the new Experience ARU platform, which provides 360 guided tours personalised to subject areas, and 'days in the life' videos – along with key information and signposting to information to make it easy and immediate for Clearing applicants and prospective applicants to get a flavour of their subject and location of interest.
