A body, believed to be that of a man missing north of Inverell, has been located.
The 65-year-old man was last seen at his home on Pindari Dam Road, Pindaroi, about 11am last Wednesday (16 June 2021).
He was reported missing to officers from New England Police District, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Following extensive land and air searches of the surrounding area, a body was located in the Pindaroi area about 11am today (Monday 21 June 2021).
The body is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be that of the missing man.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
