FedDev Ontario invests more than $7 million to help two local companies expand operations and increase resilience
Lindsay is home to innovative manufacturers that play an important role in strengthening Ontario's food processing and advanced manufacturing sectors. As businesses adapt to evolving market conditions, the Government of Canada is making strategic investments to help companies modernize their operations, increase productivity and position themselves for long-term growth.
Today, the Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), announced more than $7 million through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative to support two Lindsay-based businesses.
Armada Toolworks Ltd. is receiving over $650,000 from FedDev Ontario toward an over $1.3 million project to modernize its operations. By integrating new technologies and manufacturing processes, the company will enhance efficiency, strengthen its capabilities and diversify into new markets.
Mariposa Dairy Ltd. is receiving a repayable contribution of over $6.5 million from FedDev Ontario towards a $19.5 million project to expand its facility and adopt new advanced automated processing, packaging and shipping technologies.
