Caught and now off to Court

Geelong Highway Patrol officers caught up with an alleged speeding motorcyclist in in Lara last night.

Police saw a motorbike travelling north on the Princes Freeway and clocked its speed at an alleged 152kmh in a 100kmh speed zone about 8.50pm.

The learner driver was intercepted and had his motorbike impounded for thirty days at a cost of $1,137.

A 31-year-old Lara man is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences including speed dangerous, exceed speed limit by 45km/h or more, failure to display L plates and failure to wear a high-visibility vest.
