CHAD: Travel Advisory Remains Level 3 - Reconsider Travel

The Department of State renewed its Travel Advisory for Chad on October 14, 2020. The Department continues to advise travelers to reconsider travel to Chad. This replaces the previous Travel Advisory issued on September 28, 2020.

The full text of the new Travel Advisory is as follows:

Reconsider travel to Chad due to COVID-19, crime, terrorism, minefields, and kidnapping.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for Chad due to COVID-19.

Chad has resumed most transportation options, including air and bus travel, reopened some border crossings, permitted most non-essential business to operate, and plans to reopen public schools in October.  Other improved conditions have been reported within Chad.  Visit the Embassy's COVID-19 page
