Charges laid following Southern Cross stabbing

Police have charged two teenage girls following a stabbing that occurred at Southern Cross Railway Station on Saturday night, Victoria Police say.

Police from Transit Safety Division Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a 16-year-old Deer Park girl on Sunday night as a part of the investigation.

She has been charged with intentionally causing injury, weapons offences and assault and has been bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.

A second 14-year-old Tarneit girl was arrested on Monday and charged with intentionally causing injury, weapons offences, and assault. She has also been bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
