Cyclist critical after crash in Eastern Creek

A cyclist is in a critical condition after a crash in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 6.30am (Saturday 24 November 2018), emergency services were called to the M7, Eastern Creek, following reports a cyclist was injured.

Police have been told the rider and a truck, both travelling south, collided on the Western Motorway off-ramp.

The cyclist, a 41-year-old man from Toongabbie, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The truck driver was uninjured. He was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, is urged to come forward.
