- Cook Labor Government's jobs, investment and trade mission continues in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City

The Cook Labor Government's investment and trade mission to India and Vietnam has arrived in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, following successful engagements in Mumbai and Delhi.
Premier Roger Cook is leading the Vietnam mission, joined by Agriculture and Food Minister Jackie Jarvis, Parliamentary Secretary Samantha Rowe and a delegation of 32 Western Australian businesses and organisations.
Premier Cook will meet with government and industry leaders in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City and visit the new Long Thanh International Airport ahead of its expected opening in December 2026.
The Premier will also engage with Vietnam's major state-owned power utility and leading airlines to advance opportunities in energy co-operation and aviation connectivity, and strengthen investment and trade ties between Western Australia and Vietnam.
Minister Jarvis will lead the mission's primary industries program, including engagements with major agricultural feed importers and agribusinesses to promote Western Australia's strengths in feed grains and livestock production.
The Minister will also meet with established retailers of international gourmet food to support commercial opportunities for Western Australian value-added food and beverage products.
Parliamentary Secretary Rowe will visit schools delivering the Western Australian school curriculum and meet with one of Vietnam's major private education providers, and government education and training authorities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Following engagements in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, the delegation will travel to Hanoi to continue the Vietnam program.

"For this part of the mission I have been joined by not only other representatives of the Cook Labor Government but importantly local businesses and organisations who will have the opportunity to meet with their Vietnamese counterparts.
"These face-to-face meetings are so important to helping build relationships that will help create jobs and business opportunities for Western Australians to keep our economy strong."
