Driver dies in crash near Coffs Harbour

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash near Coffs Harbour earlier today.

About 11.45am on Friday 18 December 2020, emergency services were called to Bucca Road, Bucca, north of Coffs Harbour, following reports a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of a Lexus wagon, believed to be a man aged in his 70s, suffered critical injuries and despite the efforts of attending emergency service officers, he died at the scene.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
