So, let's start off taking a look at tomorrow's weather map. We've still got this strong and slow-moving high pressure system over the south-east that will continue to bring areas of morning fog, and direct this moist onshore flow to the east coast, bringing scattered showers. Further inland, this trough bringing some instability with showers there, while out in the west this deep low pressure system and an associated cold front will bring wet and windy weather and even the risk of a gusty thunderstorm.
So, let's go around the country now, state by state, starting with Queensland. Scattered showers are expected right along the east coast, but tending more widespread about the Sunshine and the North Tropical coasts. Scattered showers are also expected through inland parts across the south, with daytime temperatures a couple of degrees below average across the south-east, but grading nearer average elsewhere. For Brisbane, a partly cloudy day with a chance of a shower or two, and a top of 21 °C.
Moving on to New South Wales. Scattered showers are also forecast along the east coast and the adjacent ranges, and also through these northern inland parts. Generally dry and mostly sunny elsewhere, with daytime temperatures in the mid to high teens. For Sydney, a partly cloudy day with showers and a top of 18°C, while for Canberra, morning frost, then clearing to a partly cloudy day and a top of 14 °C.
Moving on to Victoria. It's going to be a chilly start across the state, with morning fog and frost patches, and just a slight chance of a very light shower about the far southern exposed coasts. There's also a risk of a shower developing later in the day throughout the Mallee district, with daytime maximum temperatures in the low teens across the south, grading to the mid teens as we head further north. For Melbourne, morning fog patches, then a cloudy day, top of 13 °C.
Down to Tasmania. A partly cloudy and dry day with light winds and just a slight chance of a light shower about the far west. For Hobart, a partly cloudy day and a top of 12 °C.
Moving on to South Australia, morning fog patches are possible across the south-east, with a slight chance of a light shower as well, just east of the ranges and down across the far southern coast. Showers developing later in the day through far western parts, with daytime temperatures across the state in the mid teens, grading up to the low 20s in the north-east. For Adelaide, a partly cloudy day with a top of 17 °C.
Moving on to WA. It is going to be a windy day across the state, with showers possible across large areas, but tending more widespread about western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Gusty storms are also possible through the very far south-west. For Perth, a cloudy day with showers and the chance of a morning thunderstorm, a top of 19 °C.
Moving on to the Territory. A dry and mostly sunny day with just a slight risk of a shower about the far north-east Top End coast. For Darwin, a dry and mostly sunny day, a top of 31 °C.
And taking a quick look at Sunday. That high pressure system will finally move out into the Tasman Sea, directing warmer northerly winds across the east, but continuing to bring showers to the east coast. Hit-and-miss showers are forecast through inland areas, while out in the west the winds will ease and the showers will gradually contract to the coast.
So, if you're after a more detailed forecast for your local area, you can head to the Bureau's website or app. Otherwise, have a great weekend! We'll see you again next time. Bye for now.
