ELaw Showcased at European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness '23

Carlotta Rigotti, post-doc researcher at eLaw, and Alexandre Puttick (Bern University of Applied Science) presented some research outputs of the Horizon Europe BIAS project during the European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness '23.

On 7th June 2023, Carlotta Rigotti and Alexandre Puttick presented some of the research outputs of the BIAS project during the European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness '23.

Eduard Fosch-Villaronga, associate professor and director of research at eLaw, and Masha Kurpicz-Briki also had also contributed to the submission.In their presentation, Carlotta and Alex briefly explained the BIAS project. Whilst Carlotta mostly focused on the empirical research on fairness perceptions and formulations, Alex discussed the main components of the trustworthy, AI-driven technology that the Bern University of Applied Sciences is expected to develop.
