The Cook Government is proud to support AgriFutures evokeAG. 2024, and today welcomed visitors from around the globe to the Asia-Pacific region's premier agrifood technology event.

It's the first time Perth has ever hosted an event of this kind, and it kicked off with a record attendance of more than 1800 delegates - including from China, U.K, and U.S.

Over the next two days the Perth Convention Centre will become a thriving innovation hub.

AgriFutures evokeAG.2024 will feature keynote speeches from some of the best minds in agriculture, on topics such as sustainability, productivity, food security, and renewable energy.

It will also provide an unprecedented opportunity for the State's food and agriculture sector startups to connect with potential international investors.

Western Australian startups will showcase their innovations - from environmentally-friendly alternatives to plastic, through to new ways of producing bioenergy, and revolutionary biosensor technology for animal healthcare.

WA researcher and developer Guy Coleman, who is behind the 'Open Weed Locator' project, which is helping farmers access open-source technology to develop DIY weed detectors, will feature as one of evokeAG.2024's Future Young Leaders.

In addition, WA will host a packed schedule of 35 specialty events during the week of AgriFutures evokeAG. 2024.

Delegates have already signed up for regional tours across the South West, Great Southern, and Mid West, which will promote the State's leading agrifood businesses and primary producers.
